Skin Types

Skin type is "in born" feature. Some of the person is so lucky that they will never get acne as teenager. Skin type is identify before which type of skin care products are suitable to fit it. The Following are some general skin types.

1. Normal Skin:
This is the type that everyone would love to have. It looks fresh and healthy skin type that. It is neither too oily nor too dry. Texture firm and smooth with generally small pore. No comedones or blemishes, no flaking. Line and wrinkles are appropriate depend on age.

2. Oily Skin:
This type of skin normally has shinny appearance due to excess oily on surface. This is cause by the oil glands produce too much sebum. May have recurring blackheads, acne and large, cloged pore. The texture is coarse and skin is thick; touch is often sticky. Often, individuals with oily skin prone to comedone, papule and pustule. It also have tendency to develop acne in their teen and middle years, and overgrown oil glands, or sebaceous hyperplasia, in the middle and late years.

3. Dry Skin:
This type of skin is sensitive to hot and cold weather, and can feel tight or have visible flaking, especially after cleansing. This is caused by inactive oil glands that do not produce enough sebum to keep the skin lubricated. This type of skin has a matte or dull appearance, small and fine pores, and tendency to flaking. It is easy for the thin skin around eye to have fine lines. Dry skin is tendency to be thin skin on cheek area and will have high colour or dilated capillaries and it is sometimes sensitive. Compare to other type of skin, this type can be drier and more wrinkled with age. Sometimes it's hereditary and occur years-round. Some people have seasonally dry skin that occur mostly during cold, dry winter months. This type is also linked to the natural ageing process. Besides inherit, many factors can cause dry skin and we discuss in skin condition.

4. Combination Skin:
This type of skin are the most common type in any age. It combination skin with and oily centre area or a T-zone (across the forehead, nose, and chin) and dry area on the cheeks, neck, around eyes, and hairline. Acne will be more active in the area that are oily.

5. Sensitive Skin:
Sensitive skin can be in born or condition. In born sensitive skin is call atopic dermatitis and condition sensitive skin is call allergic contact dermatitis. A person with type has a lot more trouble with environmental factors than the average person. They may inherited severe form of eczema, affected the elbows, back of knees, face and sometimes the entire body. Most of the time person with this sensitive skin type also linked with asthma and hay fever. Their skin burns more easily in the sun, have reactions to cosmetics and rashes or a burning sensation. Besides it can be trigger from weather conditions. Problem skin often accompanies this skin type as it is very reactionary. The symptoms can be worsened by trigger factor.
